Top tips for using the new website
It's been a month and a bit...
We released the new website over a month ago, and it's been great getting your comments and questions. We decided to take the most common and answer them all in one blog... So here we go!
The best way to avoid this is to check our fish list. It can be found here: https://jnk-aquatics.co.uk/fish_list/ , you can also get to it by clicking LIVESTOCK (or tapping it twice if you are on a phone/tablet) in the top menu bar.
This list shows all the fish in stock right now, so you don't have to go through pages and pages of out of stocks to find what you are looking for!
You can go to https://jnk-aquatics.co.uk/clearance/, where you will see all our available clearance lines, and it is constantly updated, so you can check in whenever!
You can also get there by clicking/tapping the word "Clearance" in STORE section of the footer (blue bar) at the bottom of any website page.
You can also get there by clicking/tapping the words "Recover Password" in the ACCOUNT section of the footer (blue bar) at the bottom of the any website page.
On any product page, next to ADD TO BASKET you will see a heart with Add to list next to it.
If you click this heart, or Add to list, it will add that product to a wish list.
You can have hundred of products in a wish list, and you can have several wish lists, for whatever reasons you choose.
To load a list:
Go to your basket, and on the right hand side of the screen (bottom of the screen on a mobile device) you will see The words BASKET DETAILS, one of the options under this heading is Load list, where you will be able to load in one of your product lists.
It will load straight into your basket, and you just need to add the quantities of each item for easy ordering!
#1 - Seeing stock - (Logging in to the website)
The website is set up so that each customer has specific access to the products and livestock they can buy. This means that if you are logged out of the website, you won't be able to see some products or livestock. If you can't see something/can't buy something you think you should be able to see/buy, please check you are logged in.#2 - Livestock/Fish list
If you are set up to see livestock, when you click through the livestock menu, you will see every livestock listing we have at J&K aquatics. Many of these are types/species of fish that we only get occasionally or seasonally. So, while we have many types of fish available to buy, there will be many out of stock.The best way to avoid this is to check our fish list. #6 - Specs/additional information
On each product page there is now an "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" section.* This contains detailed information about the product or livestock you are looking at. This includes care tips for fish, technical specs for products, power consumption etc.
You can read or hide this extra information by clicking/tapping the words Read more/less on the product page in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION section.
* This section is all on all pages, but not all products have additional information.
